SHAKER STYLE HANDMADE CHERRY DINING TABLE
Pinned tenon-mortise joints & breadboard ends, unsigned, late 20th century
Item # 709DOP27P
A carefully handmade custom table executed in solid cherrywood, the dining table is austere and orderly in its’ clean lines and angular form. The long boards are capped with breadboard ends with small pins affixing the tongue-in-groove joints. The top is affixed to the apron with clips in grooves that allow the top to shrink and expand without placing stress on the boards; the apron is simple, the sides tenoned into the legs and affixed with tiny pins. They are angular with a gentle taper. It melds beautifully with the modern interior where clear quality is balanced against simplicity of form; it is equally effective when utilized with clean mid century furnishings and a farmhouse chic style.
Measurements: 84" L x 44 1/2" D x 30" H
Some edge wear/chips and light scuffs/wear to legs.
