PAIR OF BRONZE AND GREEN MARBLE TAZZAS
Circa Late 19th Century
Item # 602RUK13P
A beautiful pair of bronze tazzas in the Napoleon III taste circa the late 19th Century, they feature finely cast and chased surfaces. The gentle scoop of the bowl is delightfully oxidized with natural verdigris dancing across the surface under flanking corkscrew twists of tapering bronze. It rests over the foliage of palmetto leaves that repeat around the socle, terminating over a gilt bronze rim. The variagated green marble stepped base of each is a beautiful solid block of polished stone with a repeating leaf base. A most attractive pair in outstanding condition, these are a perfect statement piece to flank a hall table or console, complete a fireplace mantle or any other surface that needs an element with depth to balance the setting.
