VINTAGE BRASS AND GLASS SERVING BAR CART
In manner of Maxwell Phillips of New York circa 1960s, unmarked
Item # 712REJ02P
A very nice brass and glass serving bar cart from the 1960s with precise and high quality metal work throughout, the form is very similar to some of the less complex pieces by Maxwell Phillips of New York, though generally without the bent tubular x-form that highlights either side of the body. Careful machining of the metal, finishing of the tips of each leg post, thick solid brass rims and the gallery raised over small posts - everything was executed to a high standard and with precision. The piece retains its original wheels and all original hardware.
Measurements: 31 1/2” H x 31” W x 19” D
Brass with a nice natural patina (oxidized and tarnished); one wheel with some chipping to the edge; very light roughness/chips to edge of glass shelves, though we could certainly have these replaced upon request. Sturdy, strong and operates beautifully.
