VINTAGE FRENCH LOUIS XVI STYLE ARM CHAIR
Circa early 20th century, with distressed white surface
Item # 805ZLX19
This is a gorgeous vintage French arm chair in the Louis XVI taste from the first half of the 20th century. It is a finely proportioned chair with excellent stance and crisply carved features - notable is the exquisite reeding that flows from the curled handholds along the cabriole arm supports. The surface shows both faux and natural distressing in the white paint, revealing the solid patinated beech surface below. It is incredibly comfortable and supportive, particularly as a desk chair with a very nice angle to the back for active sitting. It is built to last the test of time with period style of craftsmanship and a high quality brass-tacked suede leather covering.
Note: we bought these as part of a larger set - additional chairs may still be available, check quantity.
