PAIR OF FRENCH LOUIS XVI STYLE VINTAGE SIDE CHAIRS
Probably c. 1940-50
Item # 1406QEI14P
This attractive pair of vintage French Louis XVI Style side chairs have all the neoclassical architecture that makes the style so magnetic - the trapezoidal back and conforming seat, the carved and molded frame with inset rosettes above the legs, the turned and tapering fluted legs over ringed feet. A form that has been incredibly popular for any interior designing for well over two hundred and fifty years, this is a delightful pair of chairs that will never go out of style. Crafted by hand during the middle of the century, probably somewhere around 1940-50, they have an attractively worn surface and retain an early (stained/discolored) covering. For anyone decorating the home, this is a wonderful pair of vintage French chairs to include in the interior.
