KNOLL MARBLE AND TEAK DOUBLE-CREDENZA CABINET
Circa last quarter of the 20th century | repaired mable top
Item # 204TPZ23Q
A very nice double-credenza designed and retailed by Knoll, it features a polished marble top (with repaired crack) over an all-over teak facade raised on polished chrome legs. The doors open to reveal a shelved interior. Versions of this cabinet are still being produced by Knoll and can still be purchased with a starting price of around $ 15,000 depending on your options. This example is most attractive and has quite fortunately been well-cared for - it presents beautifully with a surface history of gentle use and a light overall surface patina that has been repolished and lightly conditioned for a great overall presentation.
We also may still have available in the shop an earlier double-sided chest of drawers also in teak with a teak top instead of the present marble top.
Measurements: 25 3/4" H x 17 3/4" D x 71 1/4" W
Condition Report:
The marble top has a restored crack down the left side that generally matches the overall color of the natural striations of the stone, but is not a perfect repair: the seam is ever-so-slightly sunken below the surface of the rest of the stone on close inspection. Teak has been reconditioned and lightly polished, but shows an overall patina of surface history/blemish from years of use, most of these having oxidized and become part of the natural patina. Photos don't show one extra shelf that is included - note the right cabinet vertical shelf divider was removed at some point to allow for full-width shelving. Includes key.
