PAIR OF EQUESTRIAN GILT BRONZE PLAQUES

This very fine pair of 19th century Equestrian gilt plaques depict an opposing pair of horses with an early Romantic stylizing, both cast in bronze and gilded with a dusty matte gold against burnished highlights. Both are of the finest quality in casting with intricate detailing throughout. They are preserved in original frames over a velour backing and are protected under glass.

Measurements: 17 3/4" H x 21 3/8" W

Condition Report:
Excellent original condition. Early frames with minor wear. One with original backboards, the other with a replaced backing.
