Art Deco Chrome and Lacquer Console Table, Royalchrome c. 1930s

In manner of Wolfgang Hoffman, manufactured by Royalchrome circa 1930s
Item # 910QST19

A machine age creation manufactured by Royalchrome in the manner of Wolfgang Hoffman, Donald Deskey and the other luminaries of the Streamline Moderne movement, this gorgeous demilune console table is crafted of bent tubular steel with small round projecting feet welded to the frame. These negate any tipping propensity in the curved tube.

A remarkably high quality piece despite its simplicity, the front legs join into the single curved backleg with custom screws, all four ends of tube joining the underside of the lacquered top in an ebonized steel flange. The black lacquered top has sleek molded aluminum edging with black enameled center recess.

The original label for Royalchrome remains attached to the underside of the top.

Measurements: 29 1/4" H x 14 1/4" D x 28" W
