DANISH MODERN TEAK SIDEBOARD CABINET BY HANS WEGNER
Model No. 68, manufactured by RY Møbler, branded by George Tanier; stamped July 1957
Item # 009VBX18A

An incredibly sleek sideboard, or "highboard", cabinet designed by Hans Wegner for RY Møbler, it is branded as model no. 68 and is stamped with a manufacture date of July 1958 with burnt branding and stamped branding markings from George Tanier Selections. Typical of Wegner's work, the joinery and construction is of impeccable quality, a very intelligent design that breaks down into four parts for easy transport: the lower cabinet lifts off of the sides and the upper cabinet slides out of the sides after being unscrewed from the inside.

The upper section features a pair of sliding blind doors that open to reveal two adjustable shelves on either side. The lower cabinet features six graduated drawers with molded handles.

Measurements: 71" H x 19 1/2" D x 70 3/4" W

Condition Report:
Three small veneer replacements at back right corner of the lower cabinet (not pictured, but we can send a quick shot upon request). Surface oiled and in excellent overall condition with only minor wear and discolorations. Very sturdy and strong.
