VINTAGE STITCHED LEATHER PIG FOOTREST OTTOMAN
Designed by Dimitri Omersa for Abercrombie & Fitch, England circa 1960s
Item # 711RCU25P
An early example of the animal footstools designed by Dimitri Omersa of Liberty and retailed by Abercrombie & Fitch in the United States, the pig was the first design of the company. It is entirely stitched and fabricated by hand with beautifully finished leather, this delightfully worn and patinated throughout from years of gentle use. Intended for use as a decorative footrest, it is most effective as an unusual accent piece that lends a touch of visual interest to a room. Preserved in excellent original condition, it is a warm and interesting acquisition for the tasteful interior.
Measurements: 24” W x 9” D x 14” H
Worn original vintage condition. Some heavier wear to the tail and restitching; some restitching to the back of the pig.
