STREAMLINE MODERNE YELLOW ENAMELED "SKYSCRAPER" MIRROR
A rare design by Norman Bel Geddes for Simmons circa 1930s
Item # 911ZSA16J
One of Norman Bel Geddes' most iconic designs, his "Skyscraper" mirror is a rare and most striking dressing mirror for collectors of Streamline Modern objects from the Art Deco movement. The stacked cast metal frame grips the shaped mirror over an enameled yellow steel base. This piece is not marked, but is part of a bedroom suite being catalogued separately in the shop, the dressing table (pictured and possibly still available) with the original Simmons label inside of the drawer.
