About us

silla was born out of a passion for beautiful objects: special pieces with aesthetic and historical significance. In 2009, after years of collecting, Andrew Silla and his wife Grace began to work privately with clients from their residence in Southern Maryland. Quickly outgrowing the space, the business was moved from Maryland to Pennsylvania in 2012 and after several warehouse location changes it was firmly settled in the present brick-and-mortar location in downtown Shippensburg.

The 9000 square foot brick-and-mortar gallery is home to a large collection of works of art and estate jewelry. We specialize in sculpture circa 1860 through 1930 with a particular emphasis on the Animaliers and as such the gallery always has a very large collection of exceptional European and American sculpture available on display.

DANISH MID CENTURY TEAK TRESTLE-LEG DINING TABLE
Designed and manufactured by Gangso Møbler | circa mid 20th century
Item # 808KAX28P-1

This dining table by Gangso Møbler is made en suite with a set of six chairs that we may still have available in the shop (sold separately, contact us or browse current inventory to see if they remain available). It features an attractive molded trestle leg and stretcher with overall teak veneers with a rich golden hue. The table is unmarked, but the matching chairs retain a label from Gangso Møbler.

Measurements81 1/8 W when fully extended and 62 7/8 W without the middle leaf x 37 3/8 D x 28 1/2 H [table]; middle leaf is 18 1/4"

Condition Report:
Slight color variation between additional leaf and table. One leg with some deeper gouges and scuffing (see photos). Otherwise only minor scuffs, scratches and use indicators to table surface. In one photo the photographer points to two spots on the table that are slightly lighter than the rest of the surface, probably from having a vase there for a bit. Very sturdy and strong, ready to place.
