A wonderful set of original J.L. Møller model 83 dining chairs from Denmark circa the third quarter of the 20th century, they are executed in the rare and highly sought-after rosewood primary woods throughout. While you can still buy contemporary releases of the model 83 for $ 1300-1800 depending on the species, the solid molded rosewood of the original chairs is extinct and is no longer offered. The present examples are priced at a substantial discount with reupholstery and reconditioning of the rosewood in mind - once our restoration schedule is caught up, the set will be re-listed fully restored.
Measurements: 31 1/8" H x 18 1/4" D x 19 1/2" W x 17" H to seat
Condition Report:
Minor surface wear, some sunfading to rosewood throughout; tight joints and very comfortable; upholstery is early with blemishes and extensive wear, it should be changed.
