Designed by Norman Bel Geddes in 1933 for Simmons, retaining original label
Item # 911PMG16L

One of his rare and most desirable designs, this striking writing table was designed in yellow enameled steel by Norman Bel Geddes for Simmons in the 1930s. It is accompanied by the original matching desk chair, also with the matched chrome highlights. The desk retains an original Simmons label inside one drawer.

We acquired this as part of a full bedroom suite designed by Norman Bel Geddes including a bedside table, twin bed and high chest - some of these pieces may still be available by looking through our shop inventory.

Measurements: 29 7/8" H x 19 1/4" D x 43 1/8" W [desk]; 33" H x 18 7/8" D x 18 1/2" W x 17 1/4" H to seat [chair]

Condition Report:
Wear to original enamel finish throughout. Original upholstery, stiff and with some discoloration, would benefit from being changed at some point.
