FURNITURE & OBJECTS
The very essence of material culture is the statement it makes about our predecessors: how they lived, worked, ordered their lives and where they assigned their values. Furniture has long been one of the most accessible forms of art, much of it created bespoke as a collaboration between the patron commissioning the piece and the craftsman executing it. And much can be gathered and appreciated in examining these pieces within that framework.
We do our best to acquire objects that have always been cared for, cherished and remain in as close to excellent condition as possible. If possible, we order no restoration on furniture objects. Each object is conserved as minimally as possible and polished for the best possible presentation in the home.
