LOUIS XV STYLE ORMOLU MOUNTED MAHOGANY KIDNEY ACCENT TABLE
France, circa first half of the 20th century
Item # 104EHH15P
A good early 20th century accent table in the French Louis XV taste, it is crafted with an overall kidney form, the conforming marble top with a beveled edge set within a pierced brass raised gallery over a single horizontal drawer with hand-dovetailed construction in the oak secondary woods over four legs joined in the middle with a mahogany shelf stretcher; the cabriole form of the lower half of the legs is accentuated by the acanthus mounts that follow the knee along the curve of the leg into the scrolled acanthus sabots.
Measurements: 31 1/4" H x 14 5/8" D x 27 1/2" W
Minor surface wear throughout. Some light scuffs to the marble, overall not particularly notable. Tarnish to the ormolu mounts and brass throughout. Edge wear to the corners of the drawer. Overall in good ready-to-place condition, sturdy and strong.
