VINTAGE PAIR OF THONET-STYLE BENTWOOD FOLDING CHAIRS WITH CANVAS SEATS

This is such a fun pair of bentwood chairs, crafted in the manner of Thonet during the third quarter of the 20th century and executed with fine attention to detail. The hooped arm rail comfortably supports the back, the lumbar supported against the three vertical slats, while the seat is most comfortable with a padded and stitched canvas looped around the back of the chair and nailed under the front edge. They fold up and tuck out of the way most conveniently, making them an excellent and most stylish selection for additional guest seating. But the folding action does not need to define these sleek chairs, as they present beautifully as permanent seating in the living areas.

Condition Report:
Some tearing in the corners of the canvas; canvas is original with discoloration/stains and other use indicators; some minor wear to the frames, overall remaining in good condition; the "white" paint marks on the back of the hoop-back have been removed and finish restored.
