About us

silla was born out of a passion for beautiful objects: special pieces with aesthetic and historical significance. In 2009, after years of collecting, Andrew Silla and his wife Grace began to work privately with clients from their residence in Southern Maryland. Quickly outgrowing the space, the business was moved from Maryland to Pennsylvania in 2012 and after several warehouse location changes it was firmly settled in the present brick-and-mortar location in downtown Shippensburg.

The 9000 square foot brick-and-mortar gallery is home to a large collection of works of art and estate jewelry. We specialize in sculpture circa 1860 through 1930 with a particular emphasis on the Animaliers and as such the gallery always has a very large collection of exceptional European and American sculpture available on display.

A SUBSTANTIAL VINTAGE 14K GOLD TEXTURED FLEXIBLE-LINK BRACELET
7 1/2" wearable length | with Italian assay markings to clasp | 58.6 grams total weight
Item # 204PPH15X

A heavy flexible-link bracelet executed entirely in 14 karat yellow gold with a sturdy push-button clasp supplemented by two swinging safety clasps, it features a surface brilliantly textured with an all-over repeating of tiny engraved circles across the rectangular bars of the flexible-links. These are joined over a tightly woven gold mesh on the back, the result being very comfortable and free of pinching or catching the skin. It wears comfortably at 7 1/2".

Specifications:

  • Composition: 14 Karat Yellow Gold
  • Markings: "364 VI" "585"
  • Dimensions: 1" wide x 7 1/2" wearable length
  • Age: Circa mid-to-late 20th century
  • Total Weight: 58.6 grams
  • Condition notes: Solder repair to underside creates a little stiffness in the link by the box-clasp (not noticeable since the box-clasp also causes some lack of flexing), some slight rubbing/abrading to underside at both clasp ends - probably from rubbing against a watch or paired bracelet over time). Very sturdy clasp and wears very comfortably.
